Working on a Red Sox themed remote (2004 ALCS Series) and I am looking for opinions on the graphics so far. Any comments are welcomed.

I would like to see what people think before I keep going with the graphics, when done I will post in the Files Section for anyone else who wants it.

Very simple yet cool. Especially the Transports. Perhaps not the most efficient layout, but still very fun. The font is right on, but I have to ask what the functionality of the scoreboard is, because if it's just to look cool, and does nothing, I think it takes up way to much screen real estate to be Justafiable. Maybe as a background, or something. But it looks pretty neat. Good work!

I have not done anything to the scoreboard yet I have a ticker like on ESPN that I am going to put on there, the scores are from game 7 so I may add some screens in that correlates to the biggest choke in sports history that you can access through the scoreboard.

Maybe you can have "26" championship icons on the home page

As a Futurama fan, I myself would use the subtle scoreboard joke of "NNYY" and see if anyone noticed.

The scores are from game 5 which went 14 innings (that's why the line doesn't add up) and not game 7 - which I think would be a better line. Definitely a neat idea. Maybe you could find Joe Castiglione's call "...and the Red Sox have completed the greatest comeback..." and have that play when someone selects a source. I have a bottle opener that plays that if you want to borrow it.

Well, for the die-hard fan, it works. The scoreboard feels a bit busy. You might try cleaning it up some (just simplify). From a customer's point of view, I wouldn't really know what to push other than the titles on top. Is that all they are supposed to push?

On the plus side, that transport is wicked awesome. Also, I love the font you used at the top. It's makin' me crave peanuts and crackerjacks with $8 beers in a plastic cup. *sigh*

Cool.

It's nice to see the different artwork that people come up with.

The transport idea is great!

I'd move the Devices down and to the right a bit. They look shoved up in the left top corner.

The home page is busy, but good if all you want to use it for is to start up macros for the devices, and then move to the device/acitivity page.

I do like the baseball theme for the transports which should work well with most of the devices.

Good job!

Nice!

The tranport page is killer, finish it up with a little shading here and there, get some 3D depth in the graphics.

Thanks for the input, I've done a little work here and there on the graphics, been a little busy.
The main screen with the score board is not the final way it would be layed out. I am playing with that right now. I am going to see if I can fit two different themes on the remote one would be one that is easier to use with the Gravity Theme (so far my favorite) and then my baseball theme so the on the start page I would just have a button to the baseball home page and use custom home and navigation hard buttons.

I would prefer a more photorealistic look. Also, I would standardize your font size and compensate for differences in label lengths with varying kerning.

Here's what I whipped up quick:

If you're a true fan you could go to the stadium and get a better shot of the scoreboard than I was able to source online. Also, I would do the same with the transport controls - I wasn't able to source a decent aerial view of the Fenway diamond, however. Do you have an airplane and a decent camera? It would take a little work to input the scoreboard data for the game/inning you wanted and make it still look authentic, but it's definitely do-able.

P.S. The "SOX" button could be a macro that automatically switches to the correct inputs and channel of the most likely place a current Sox game would be broadcast.

If it was a Yankees template i'd give you my opinion!

Just kidding! At least you made the score tight!! hahaha

I love the layout..great job! Do any of the stat indicators blink? Any animation on the scoreboard..that would be cool.

Here is my stab at the transport control. I'd like to have more buttons on screen for this one if it's for a DVD player (e.g. menu, subtitles, setup, back to main screen, etc.) but it would get messy real quick and the baseball diamond motif would pretty much be ruined. Not sure how to get around those issues. Maybe smaller buttons? I don't have an MX3000 so I don't know how small the buttons can be while still retaining their usability. Don't know what ball park this is... probably not Fenway, though.

Your current buttons are about the minimum size I'd recommend on the 3000. I've had a terrible habit of making my buttons too small sometimes. A good rule of thumb is to make sure that no button is shorter or narrower than 50 pixels. Even that can become a little cramped if you put a lot of buttons on the page.

Nice looking design, by the way.
