I hooked it all up and learned all the commands into the remote and NOTHING. So I pulled the emitter away to see if it wasn't placed properly and NOTHING. Relearned the commands trying short button presses/long button presses and NOTHING. I even tried learning the commands in different rooms for possible interference. The MX-350 is set on RF only so I tried switching the remote to IR only to see if the remote would output the IR commands and NOTHING. So for some reason the remote will not learn the commands of the Denon 2807. I already have the Motorola cable box, the Panasonic projector, and the Sony DVD player all working fine so I'm not sure if it is an interference issuse. All other devices are working with RF only and the 2807 commands won't even work on the IR only mode. The remote just can't learn the 2807 commands. What gives? Any help would be appreciated.

Why are you learning the commands? The software's IR database already has all the 2807 codes in there.

Not sure. I will try that tonight to see what happens. Would there be a reason why a specific piece of equipment wouldn't learn the commands though?

This could be the same issue I'm having.

Read this thread, especially post #8

why are you using a mx-350 instead of an mx-850 or 900? the mx350 is great for basic situation, but you should really use the above mentioned remotes....

The MX-350 is the perfect budget driven remote. Honestly, I wanted to start using the MX-350 as my entry level remote. I cannot stand Harmony. Any series. It feels cheap and I had my problems with the remote charging (it doesn't always sit right on the charger). If I move up to the MX-850 I'm going to sell the RTI T1 or better. I have had great luck with RTI. The only problem is trying to sell the T1 for $900.00 with an RP1 and programming can be difficult. I'm not here to push one product or the other. I'm just looking to provide the customer many different solutions and I believe that the MX-350 is the cheapest, best for entry level stuff. Sorry to get off on a rant. Thanks davey28 and NickKO for sharing your experience. Guess we will have to see what happens. I'll work a little more on it tommorrow.

No software is available for the mx350

First thing to do is place BRAND NEW batteries in your Denon Remote.

Next, Make sure your Denon remote is operating your equipment. If not, check the slider to make sure it is controlling the AMP or push the proper button to make sure it is controlling the AMP. Remember you are learning the commands being sent se make sure you are sending the proper commands.

If that doesnt work I dont know what to tell you.

Here's more of what I know further confusing me. The MX-350 won't learn the 2807 commands. Those commands don't work in RF mode from the other room. Also, the commands won't work when I switch the remote to IR only and stand in front of the receiver. The Denon remote controls the receiver when I use it and is always selected to Amp for the source. Even tried moving the emitter around and put tape in front of the IR window of the 2807 (maybe the learned commands were to strong). All other learned remote commands work flawlessly, no problems. When I take an RTI remote, learn the IR commands into it, then learn those into the MX-350 it works! I'm not sure whats going on but it works. I could be any idiot and not know what I'm doing. But if this is a problem and somebody can use this as a work around then we've saved them some time. I have heard of one other similar problem. God I hate wasting time or being stupid. Either way I have a remote and a customer happy. Now just if Vutec would have sent out the right brackets for the screen. Did I mention how much I hate wasting time.
I didn't try new batteries because the receiver was new. I should check that. They could be strong enough to control the equipment but not strong enough to learn into the remote. I'll check that when I go back. Thank for all the help.

I Actually have the same probelm with the Scientific Atl boxes. I cannot get them to learn into the MX350. I can learn the codes into any of the PC programmable remotes, then learn the code into the MX350. I usually only use the MX350 on simple systems such as TV, DVD, and Cable Box.

For future reference, the time you will spend programming up the MX350 can be savedd if you moved to a MX900. It is only a little more, but it is much easier to program, and customize. You will save time doing the 900.

that was the point i was trying to get across. great remote for basic setups, but the mx850 or mx900 would be the right choice with such a great amp.... I was using an mx-350 today with the new software and had trouble connecting to the pcl. Hope it's me and not the pcl.....
