My recollection is that URC modified the MX3000 at some point in it's history to change the RF bandwidth to a more narrow frequency. Does anyone know the approximate manufacture date for the MX 3000 that this started?

Also, what are the current manufacture dates in the distribution chain for new MX3000s?

Thanks

Wouldnt this most likely correspond with the release of the MRF350?

What about the TX-1000? Would this explain why my MX-350 is working much better than my TX-1000?

No. The TX-1000 is narrow band as well. I haven't read of your problems with the TX-1000. Theorteically, if you are using the MRF-350, your TX-1000 should work just fine with it. But, I'm not familiar with your setup.

Ditto on Johnny's date for the switch to NarrowBand, it was april 1 2005.
I was told you can tell if you have the old antenna unit by looking at the USB connector on the 3000. If it's the old USB connection, then it's the old antenna. If it's the mini usb connection like the 900/950's then it's got a narrow band antenna.
