Ditto on Johnny's date for the switch to NarrowBand, it was april 1 2005.
I was told you can tell if you have the old antenna unit by looking at the USB connector on the 3000. If it's the old USB connection, then it's the old antenna. If it's the mini usb connection like the 900/950's then it's got a narrow band antenna.
