I just purchased an MX-780 from my local dealer to replace my MX-700. I have managed to program the remote with all my devices, macros etc. except for my Elite Cinitension screen. When I got the screen, the MX-700 refused to learn the codes and this screen has never been in the URC database. Elite doesn't have the hex codes. I managed to get the IR into the mx-700 by learning them with an Anthem remote, then using that to teach the code to the mx-700. Here is what I have tried with the 780:

I exported the device .mxd out of the mx-700 editor and imported into CCP using the universal browser. I also opened the mx-700 .mxf file in CCP and used the codes from there. It appears to work correctly but none of the codes work.

Teaching the IR to the MX-780 with the mx-700. It learns all of them but none work. I have tried all the various tricks.

Teaching the IR to the MX-780 with the Anthem remote I used to teach the MX-700. It learns all of them but none work.

Teaching the IR to the MX-780 with the Elite remote. It learns all of them but none work.

Any suggestions?

Thanks and regards,

Dennis

Tried using the trigger from the projector? I find this method of lowering the screen far more reliable.

Why not post some of your learns in Pronto Hex format?  Maybe we can clean them up so they'll work.  If you have any information from Elite about the IR codes, post that, too.

3FG,

Thanks for the reply. Is there a way to view the learned hex in Complete Control? I did get the stop command to work via learning but up and down are still no go. What I don't get is why the .mxf import of the working codes from the mx700 don't work on the 780?

JerzyST, my screen doesn't have the wired trigger as it was the first version.

Thanks and regards,

Dennis

Hank from URC emailed me and suggested I try the learn twice functionality in CCP and post my results here. I did this multiple times and ways and the learned code still didn't work.

I have also tried importing the working MX700 codes into CCP using Transporter in addition to the universal browser with no luck.

Is there a technical limitation in either the MX780 or CCP that simply won't allow these imported codes to work properly?

Thanks and regards,

Dennis
