I think I got the wrong cable for my MX-3000 and the store is closed. Does anyone have a picture of what the end that connects to the remote looks like so I can compare to my cable?

Thanks

Yes...it's standard USB Mini-B I think they call it...same thing you'll find on Mp3 players and digital cameras, etc.

Thanks for the picture vwpower44 - it confirms that the wrong cable came with my remote. I guess they have some quality control issues in the packaging department.

I'm guessing all the USB remotes (MX-900, etc.) use that. So would you be able to use any 'ol USB-to-'Mini whatever it's called' cable? Like those for external floppies, etc?

Did you buy your remote brand new? Try looking under all the packaging your new remote came in. They hide the cable under it all on the bottom of the box.

Good Luck,

I have one of those. I guess it poses the question about what I do if I lose/damage my cable. The end does not look all that familiar, so I'm not too sure on how easy it would be to get a replacement. Seem to recall an earlier post from someone that claimed URC couldn't provide a replacement.

The earlier USB cable is VERY hard to find. I ended up changing the USB socket on the remote to accept the newer much more available cable. See
