Hi All-
I'm relatively new to remotes. A dastardly experience with a Pronto 2000 several years ago (god I hated that thing) just simply scared me away.
I was given an MX900 for Christmas and I have gotten to a point where I'm fairly familiar with the software...however...I can't seem to figure out how to import .ccf or .mxd files into the program. From clicking around here it seems like this is possible. I have a video scaler in the main theater that is not in the provided IR database (as far as I can tell)-however the manufacturer does provide ccf codes. Someone has also posted .mxd files into the database here for a model close enough to get me started - but when I try to open these nothing happens.

Any help would be much appreciated-
Thanks!

"learned" codes from a CCF can be imported (actually, more of a drag/drop sort of thing) via the Universal Browser.

MXD files can be imported by right-clicking the device, but I've found that if you try to import an MX700-850 generated MXD into an MX900, you will lose ~40% of the LCD commands ... so it's probably better to use drag/drop for this, as well. Unfortunately, this latter method still limits you to learned commands only.

By the universal browser do you mean the Complete Control Suite? What kind of drag and drop are you talking about?
The pronto files are direct from the manufacturer and are specifically for my unit (the .mxd file that is here is for an older model - I figured it would be a decent start) - so I think using the ccf files would be better - but I'm unclear about where the files are droped to on the MX900 Editor.

The Universal Browser in in the MX-900 editor (second icon from the right on top). If you don't already have the programming manual that describes its use, among other things, you can download it from the "Files" section of this website.
