Here is my situation. I go to build a file, set the devices, set up the IR database, punch-through, etc. I load it into the remote and it doesn't work. I go to check the IR database and it resets the TV to an audio device, and the other devices are also not set to the ones I saved. I have tried un-installing and re-installing the program to no avail, I have borrowed co-workers computers and theirs work fine. I was wondering if anyone else has dealt with this issue. Any suggestions would be more than welcome. I have been doing this for years, but have never had a problem like this. Even my older MX-3000 files have this screwed up IR thing if I open them now. I work for an authorized URC dealer and have the newest version (secure.)

If you click the device in the database window, change it to another device, then change it back, you should see it come up properly. It's just a little quirk.

If you're saying that it doesn't save after you save all of your commands AND save the entire file prior to downloading it to your remote, something else is going on.

When you save, do you see the "P" showing that you have preprogrammed commands under your devices? If so, save the entire file to your desktop. Close the MX Editor and reopen it. Is everything still there?

Tell me the steps you are taking. Maybe that will help me better understand what's going wrong.

Thank you,
Damon DG

This has happened after successfully programming hundreds of MX-3000s. I thought I was losing my mind at first. I am having no problems with the other MX editors. There is something wrong with my computer.
I am setting up the IR databases properly, I do have "P" on the commands. I am saving after every device setup. I am saving my entire file before downloading.

I am going to have to reformat my hard drive.

Before reformatting, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the MX Editor? That may be better to try first.

Thank you,
