MSC400 & MX3000 - no way to access RF ID #11 (and up) on 3000 editor

Sorry about the long thread topic, but I wanted to try to get specific. We are installing our first MSC400 on Monday.

Everything is configured in both MSC400 and MX3000 but we need to access port #7 for IR and here at the last minute, have discovered that there is not yet a way to assign the RF control to any ID above 11 (which is required if you want to use any ports 7-12 for IR) in the MX3000 editor (same in the 950 editor too).

I know this question was asked on URC's forum but, as of Friday there is no answer from anyone at URC.

I know they are all busy at EHExpo but some of us hav work to do. My biggest gripe is that I attended one of Hank's class in Denver and he made no mention of it during the class. Was it in the editor and then taken away on an update?

It's never been in the 3000 editor. That's going to be a future expansion. Currently you have to work with the given amount of addresses available in the 3000, which is still quite a few. There's no gain that I'm aware of by going outside of that range anyway.

There's a helluva gain if you want to assign IR ports 7-12 to devices directly from the MX3000/950 editor.

We are always exceeding 6 ports on a MRF300 and look to the MSC400 as a great solution to that - at least someday it will be a solution to that.

Can anyone at URC comment on when this will be fixed for the 3000 and 950 editor?

Eric Johnson,

It's been 90 days since you made that statement. What's the hold up? Any progress? Can you make a prediction of when we can expect it? I need this capability in my showroom and the "work around" is way too kludgey. Thanks.

This problem still has not been addressed. Does anyone from URC know when this will be resolved? I have a 950 which cannot access those addresses, but my 900 can.
I have a lot of expensive equipment that connot be used to the fullest until this fix is made, and I would prefer not to use double flashers because it goes against one the ideas behind using something as powerfull as the MSC400.
Thanks,
Chad

Thanks for the response.
Also, could you put a good word in for Yamaha serial codes on the MSC400.
Thanks,
Chad

Its still in Beta. We found some problems and should have it addressed today or tomorrow hopefully. I'll post when the new version is up.

Wow -- it is February already and still no update.

Eric, any progress to report? (And make no mistake -- I'm glad you didn't release it with known bugs just to get it out there.)

I thought I saw somewhere in the documentation for the MSC400 that it isn't recommended to use ports 7-12 as IR outputs on a permanent basis.
