skynrdfan: Contact your Denon rep and ask for the list of serial numbers for the fixed models and receivers. Have you talked to Denon about the problem? We've got a bunch of surround receivers that are "pre-fix" and so we'll just have to use them when we can do just an IR repeater or use an rf id of zero.

I've had no issued with Denon at all. Make sure your Editor is up to date.

Thank you,

I spoke with denon service on Friday and got the scoop. We need to send the receivers back to denon for a fix. I also requested the S/N list of the AVR687, AVR787, AND THE AVR887. I hope to have this, then I can purchase a spare unit to give to a client, remove there's and ship to Denon. Then continue this cycle till all problems are solved. I will respond here to let you guy's know if all goes well...

Oh, so the issue is with Denon. It's just on the 3-digit models or does this cross over to the 4-digit models, like the 2807?

Thank you,
Damon DG

Yea, it's a Denon problem and it is on some of the 4-digit models. Not sure exactly which ones (have the list at the office) but you should be able to get it from them.

THE EQUAL TO THE 3 DIGIT #'S ARE AVR 1507, 1707 AND 1907. I DO NOT KNOW ABOUT THE 2307CI.... THE AVR2807 AND ABOVE DO NOT HAVE THIS ISSUE....

No trouble with Marantz here (although Marantz uses RC5/6
codes they completely ignore toggle bits and thus work
perfectly with learned codes).

Hello Daniel,

Recently got the MX-900 and started the process of loading my Devices. However, I still am in a major learning curve when it comes to creating Macros, etc.
I have a Marantz SR7300, which is NOT listed in the IR Database. I've loaded the data for the SR8200 (code #326) thinking that it may be close to my AVR, but not able to find certain commands I think I need. Like switching between the "Input selector Buttons" at the bottom of the Marantz RC. Some buttons are listed, but not AMP.
Was interested in understanding your comment about the RC5/6 codes and "ignore toggle bits" and thus work perfectly with learned codes. Are learned codes, codes that are learned from one RC to another RC?

Any assistance and guidence is appreciated.

I was told (by my older techs) that it was Denon's IR fault and it was an isolated group of serial numbers, and that we have gotten them all swapped out. I had to hear them bitch and bitch about 'dont use the mx-???? with the mr-f300 and a denon they are *******!' Well it turned out no matter the remote, it seemed to be the receiver amd it was really just 1907,2106, 1707, and well i guess it could be 1507 but we didnt sell any of those...... blasted plastic front ends.... who do they think they are sony?
