I just did my first MX-900 today with the manual in hand. It was for a friend who bought it before I could get him an RTI, and it will be all right (in particular, he's not using RF).

Since I made each source selection button a system ON macro, and I have a system OFF macro, I have no need for any commands on the ON and OFF buttons for each device. In fact, I'd like to take the command off the OFF button on the DVD device so nobody can accidentally turn it off.

How do you remove a command from a device's ON or OFF buttons? Probably pretty easy but I didn't see it and didn't stop to read all forty pages.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Click the button and tap the delete key on the keyboard. Make sure only "IR Code" is selected and then press "Delete."

Or use the windows shortcuts if you don't want to delete it entirely. Select the button, press Ctrl-X, and then navigate to an unused button on the LCD screen and press Ctrl-V and it will move the power button to the LCD screen. This way you can still acess the button for your macros, and you have the On and Off buttons available for whatever you want.

Thanks to both of you. I will need both of those methods!
