According to my VOM the power supply is putting out 12 volts DC. I checked to make sure that the plug is the right polarity as it was one I had around the house for a Firewire hub. It is rated at 12V, 1.25A which should certainly be sufficient since the RT8 only pulls .2A.

So I'm really thinking the RT8 is DOA too. What a pain. It took two weeks for the thing to get here as it was. :-\
