I'm currently using Windows 7 Pro (x64) and Pronto Edit v3.1.3.0 without the need for the XP virtualization software. I just used compatibility mode set for XP sp2 when I did the install.
PENG works - but you will not be able to upload/download to/from Pronto. Because there is no working USB driver.
