Look at getting an RTI RP-1 and U1 remote, Its RF and U1 is waterproof..great for Pools and now maybe a boat

will be pricey though

Or a URC remote and base unit,,Put the remote in a ziplock bag

There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.
