JFYI the Prodigy was not designed to do this. Can you? Yes. Roll your own module or take one and make it SB ready then cut it in via SB. You do need to understand HOW to do this and it is not straight forward.
Okay. I knew that it wasn't easy, but I wasn't sure about what is was designed for and what it wasn't.
So what is the 2-way capabilities of this product designed for? Only to work with Prodigy gear? I hope not, especially since they are giving us 2 bi-directional RS232 ports.
Somebody please help. I'm really trying to understand what to expect out of this system. Its definitely sounding like it is very limited in that it works well with other Prodigy and call it at that.
Even if thats the case, its still a under $1k control option killer to URC and RTI. Plus has a limited upgrade path.
