You just need to understand what your limitations are and work around them.

The REAL problem is that they didn't release this info until over a month after the product was on the market.  It did NOT work the way we were told it was going to to work.  Personally, I wasted DAYS troubleshooting problems that turned out to be just "how it works".  After I wasted all that time they came out with a Zigbee troubleshooting tool and instructions on how to test it.  Aargh.

"Oh by the way, it doesn't work the way you think it does.  Did we forget to mention that?"


I would spec Zigbee in a single room system right now, but would be very careful of what I told the customer it could do.
