Wow thanks alot!!!!!! Finally I can use my new laptop to program my 7500!!!! I have been stuck using a 6 year old xp laptop that was slow as molasses.

If you try this be sure to use the USB tab at the top of the screen. I did not see it the first time I tried it and was unsucessful. I made the mistake of going directly through device manager and doing the same basic steps mentioned above but Pronto NG did not recognise the device. Once I noticed the USB tab at the top of the XP window, I uninstalled the service from device manager unpluged the device and repluged back it in. This time I pressed the USB tab at the top of the page and after following the steps listed above it worked like a charm.
