I just got my first C3 today. Nice looking remote. Set up a simple system through the web-based software. Overall, I think it would be a fine remote for a client who owns ONE TV and never wants to expand beyond that.

Problems for the Custom Installer

1. A guy with only one TV probably isn't calling us

2. I can program a NEVO Q50, so why do I need a wizard for this remote. I don't understand why a remote marketed to custom installers would use a web based system. I seem to remember going down this road with the URC MX-810. Luckily we complained enough for URC to come out with the MX-880. Maybe we need to turn the pressure up on Nevo to do the same thing.

3. I don't want to install a remote in a client's house that he/she might like only to tell them, "I'm sorry, I can't put one in your Master Bedroom. One per House." Give us an addressable base station. Give us IR routing. For that matter, Give us a base station that will work with all your RF capable remotes.

Sorry for the rant.... I actually like the fact that Nevo tried to give us additional options. Unfortunately for me this remote does expand the capabilties of the Nevo line.

Maybe it won't be long before Nevo adds a truely professional version of this remote so I can install a Q50 in the Home Theater, A C3 in the Family Room and a C3 in the Master Bedroom. All controlling a distributed AV system throughout the house
