I just caught this and want to mention that many have reported getting nowhere close to that so anyone reading this should be very careful and IMO not expect to get 100'. Personally if I am specifying an MLX-2 I would be conservative and try to make sure to have the gateway in the room within 25'.
I have had good luck with the MLX-2 but I agree that I should have stated YMMV. I see nothing wrong with your spec of 25' and this is probably a good median distance. Thanks for catching me on that.
