i have been reading the forums and tring to understand so please bare with me.

i bought a used lvp-x30u mitsubishi projector without a remote. I have tried numerous universal remotes with no luck. I have located a few ccf fiiles on this website that i that I think will work.

Now my question, I found a ts-1000 remote that I can buy for $40. Is it as simple as "loading" the ccf files I downloaded to the remote and giving it a try? Or am I missing something? Does anyone have any suggestions for me, as I cannot find a replacement remote for $300. Thats double what the projector cost.
