i have been reading the forums and tring to understand so please bare with me.

i bought a used lvp-x30u mitsubishi projector without a remote. I have tried numerous universal remotes with no luck. I have located a few ccf fiiles on this website that i that I think will work.

Now my question, I found a ts-1000 remote that I can buy for $40. Is it as simple as "loading" the ccf files I downloaded to the remote and giving it a try? Or am I missing something? Does anyone have any suggestions for me, as I cannot find a replacement remote for $300. Thats double what the projector cost.

Yes, it would be that simple. Download a CCF, load/edit with ProntoEdit 4, download to the remote.

That is, provided you have codes in a CCF or mitsubishi can supply you with the Pronto Hex code values for the projector.

Lyndel is right up to a reasonable point.

Some have said that it is really easy to learn the Pronto software, some have said there's a steep learning curve. Give it a try and come back here to ask questions, but read the Pronto FAQs first.

I carry a refurbished TS-1000 with me as a learner. That's how much I think of its performance.

If you can't find the commands, maybe some of us who have other databases can find them.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
