Sounds like you need a serial command that originates from the Samsung TV. I wont say its impossible but i will wager it will be very difficult to come across the information unless you can get a hold of one of the tech's in asia that designed it. Contacting Samsung will be a huge waste of time. Most there dont even know what Ex-Link is.

I would assume you can open it up and figure out a way to trigger movement with 3rd party closure products but it might be easier to just buy a samsung TV and move the existing one to another room.
