Just put where the old one used to be. You only need an soldering iron and a double face tape to hold it in place.
By the way only a high quality part will work. The ones in e-bay for 2usd are just garbage. So you will spend at least 50.00 on a good part , half of what your remote is quoted now. And if you didn't made it before the chances of losing the remote are high.
