No, that will likely not work. You should attempt to learn the remote or use MakeHex to generate Pronto Hex IR data based on the protocol, device, and functions you need. Once you have the Pronto Hex data, you can post it into the data window.
Also, keeping us in the dark does not allow us to provide more info/better direction. What is the equipment you are trying to supply codes for? Knowing this would likely give us a bit more info to point you in the best direction. :) For sure, it would help John Fine out as he knows pretty much which devices use what protocols and I'm sure he has an .irp file for MakeHex. If not, he can tell you how to create one such that you get the codes you need in one-fell swoop.
