Hi:

I recently got a TSU9600 and am in the process of getting all the codes entered for my gear. Unfortunately, I've run into a problem in that when I try to teach it new codes, it works very inconsistently. Entering the same code twice can give me drastically different results, e.g. 36 sets of 4 hex codes one time, and 850 the next time. I've tried downloading some of the codes from the download section here, but that didn't get me all the ones I need. (The codes for a Sony DVP-CX995P set to #3 largely don't work.)

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the 9600 to learn reliably? I've tried covering things to hopefully keep out any stray IR signals, but that hasn't made any difference. I've got the original remotes for all of my gear, but so far the most reliable way has been to use my old Sony RM-AC2000 as an intermediate step. And that hasn't been all that reliable a method either.

Help! :-}

A little nuts, but I'm single so I can usually get away with it.

:-D
