Thanks for the responses:

1. The 9400 has an emitter going from IR1 to the Cable Box.
2. The "Family Room" has a page with a button ("Guide") that links to a code page under "Cable Box". This code is from the factory database and was tested using the IR interface and works fine. Under the "Cable Box" properties, under the Settings tab, I checked the box for extender0.

I don't have a clue where to go from here, any help would be greatly appreciated.
