Looks like from what I can tell, that if you send %A2240\r as ASCII, you will Mute the TV. If you send %A2200\r, that will be the lowest volume setting.
The spec mentions hex but then explains that the hex values are nothing more than hex representations of normal ASCII characters.
Example: '%A0400Cr' = '25 41 30 34 30 30 0D' in hex.
