Rather than shoot in the dark, could you provide a link to the PDF file you are viewing? Also, you waffle back and forth. Are the commands below for Denon DVD or are they for the switch to which you refer? I think they are for the Denon DVD so I'll provide some guesses below.

Have you tried the following ASCII strings in the Pronto Pro Editor minus the double quotes?

"@PWR:0\r"
"@PWR:1\r"

If the command given for Power off does note have the "@" in front, then you should be able to use the same commands as
"PWR:0\r"
"PWR:1\r"

Note that "\r" in ASCII mode in the Pronto Editor is the CR character which is 0x0d.
