Thought id let you all know that I have had great success controlling my HTPC (MCE) via RS232 through the RFX9600 using LL3 KeyAT-4. You can send all keystrokes to their device which converts them to keyboard scan codes. It attaches to the RFX9600 serial port and then has a cable which attaches to the keyboard input on the PC. It works absolutely flawlessly, no more IR dongles and poor response times.
