I think what the original poster, gbk33, is talking about is a VERY good point. I, too, have just purchased the TSU9600 and the ability to control the PS3 via WiFi IP would be fantastic.
As it turns out, the PSP is able to do that and the PS3 is getting firmware version 2.00 tomorrow. This firmware will allow the PSP to turn the PS3 on and off via IP.
So, if the PSP can do it, why can't our WiFi IP devices?
Do we need to contact the PS3 developers as Sony to allow us to do this? Will this functionality occur over the Playstation network?
gbk33, perhaps someone could write a program using ProntoScript that would allow our TSU9600's to log into the Playstation network so we can program some buttons to control the PS3.
