Sometimes they fix little things, improve code execution, etc. Many times it is things we never know about that they fix. There may be a few fixes in the new f/w that were worth fixing even thought they haven't completed the issue you're concerned with. Nothing wrong with taking small steps when making improvements to s/w or f/w.
