This same cable I have works fine with and older MX-3000 so I either have the wrong cable or a bad remote. I have read a number of threads about newer and older cables but I had the impression that the connecter type had changed. If URC is correct, then my issue may be solved.

The cable I have is black with a small RF choke. The connector is sheilded on three sides with a "spring" tab on one side and a raised guide on the unsheilded (plastic) side. The cable has four pins.
