I have searched the threads, read the issues, tried the solutions (except a new cable) and I have no luck with the software recognizing the 3000.

The remote is version 7.8, 112904 000302

I am using a cable (that worked before) from an earlier remote (v1.1, 052004 000166) because the original installer kept the cable. It is the (I assume) the older 5 pin whatever to USB cable.

I have downloaded, removed and redownloaded both the 3000 editor and the full suite.

Active Sync is version 3.7.1, sync mode: continuous, conflict resolution: unresolved.

It can't be this difficult can it? Perhaps I am spoiled by RTI.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated
