Glad you got it working.

What happened is essentially URC made some kind of upgrade
to the remote hardware and any remote produced after a
certain date will not communicate with an old version
of the editor.

Since URC disabled Live Update on the old editor versions,
it would not update and thus wouldn't work. But when
you downloaded the new editor that was a more recent version
that will work.
