1) You are wrong, the 400 does work with Vista
2) It works
3) No, it's active sync that's the problem
4) Be patient and make sure you follow all of the instructions
on the URC control site.

Got it working in Vista. I had to do a manual driver install. After Vista fails the auto install of the USB drivers, go to device manager and select the not working USB device and do a manual driver update. Use the drivers in the MSC Editor\drivers\vista\x86 folder.

As far as an active sync issue that seems to be working fine. I did have to jump through a bunch of hoops to get the MX3000 synced in Vista, so I'm assuming those hoops must have taken care of syncing with the MSC400.

Before I tried the manual update I talked to URC support. They said to turn off UAC (it was off already), uninstall and reinstall the editing software and then run the editor software as an administrator. I tried this but it didn't help the driver install problem. They did say the 400 will work with Vista 32 but not 64. Apparently the install process is not yet bullit proof.

Anyway it seems to be working now.

Thanks to all that responded.

Regards,
John
