as defined by the # of repeats and timers for speed and
ramp when pressed and held. They need to be able to
differientiate between a single, momentary press and release
and press and holds. It certainly impacts anything that
is menu driven (ie...directional buttons) or channel up/downs.
I've run into this issue with DirecTV STBs. I'm sure
there are other scenarios out there but that's all I've
run into and can think of.

ds53652 - you said in a previous post that you got it to work for volume control... how exactly? That's why I was thinking, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, so maybe it's device specific.
In your scenario, were you using preprogrammed codes? In my case, I had to create the command set from scratch. Maybe that's where the issue lies...
