Well, I'm workin' every day like a home theater installer/technician, with all version of Pronto (Neo, 2000, 3000 etc. - in U.S.). IMHO, the question is 2k or 3k? For our customers - 3k looks better than 2k. But for technicians - 2k is much more easier for custom program.
For example -
a)learning sensor at bottom of 2k - on top for 3k. Did you ever try to learn about 100 buttons, just use your hands ?
b) software for 3k is about 2x slower than for 2k, and full of bugs.
c) macro programming for 3k is too complicated witout PC (almost impossible in front of customer)
d)Hard buttons are pretty hard to find without backlight
e)one plus for 3k - light sensor.
f)minus for 3k - the light sensor doesn't work like a sensor, but just like a switch on/of. No sensitivity.
g)for Philips egineers - how about Pronto 3k with 2k software?
Sorry - but 3k is full of shit !!!
