Wheelie,
I converted my 1000 ccf with no problems. However, with the better screen and the 16 shades of grey, in the 3000, you can build or find some much better buttons and backgrounds. What many have done is import it then kill all of the devices screens, leaving all of the IR Codes and rebuiliding the rest. If you are not that fussy, then import and look at it for some minor improvements.
