Someone recently posted on how to turn it on whenever you touch the screen background.

This is a variation on what he suggested.

1. Remove the background image on the System Page.

2. Create a button on the system page and use the original background image as both the pressed and released state for the button. Position it to be in the same place as the original background image.

3. Put the button behind the other system page items.

4. Add an action on the button to turn on the backlight.

Now whenever you touch the background on any page, the backlight will come on.
