Here is the deal, I found a similar thread by Hornecker (June 2003) but could not get an answer for my dilemma. I have a video matrix switch (manufactured by Shinybow Model # SB 5544). The switcher works great with my old TSU 2000 but not with my TSU 3000. Here is the interesting thing, when I copy the code from the 2000 ccf and paste it into the 3000 pcf and hit the TEST IR button in PENG (while my remote is aimed at the switcher and connected to my PC), it works like a charm, the minute I save the code (by hitting the OK button) and then test it again, it no longer functions. Its IR code gets converted after I save it and stops functioning. If I do a re-paste of the 2000 code and hit the TEST IR button before I hit the OK button it works again. As I read the other thread, it looks like PENG’s conversion of the code might be causing errors. Here is the IR Code for one of the inputs of the switcher as it looks in Pronto Edit for the 2000:

0000 006d 0022 0002 0155 00ab 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 003f 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0040 0016 003f 0016 0040 0015 0040 0016 003f 0016 0015 0016 003f 0016 0040 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 003f 0016 0040 0015 0040 0016 003f 0016 0040 0015 0040 0016 003f 0016 0040 0015 05ec 0155 0055 0016 0e43

This code above works fine in my TSU3000 when testing it through the PENG but after it gets converted, it no longer functions. Here is what the code gets translated to when pasted to PENG:

900A 006D 0000 0001 20DF 00FF

I have the latest version of PENG and firmware for my TSU3000 and I also found 2 pcf’s in the 3000/7000 files section for Shinybow Switchers and those codes are the same as what is in my 3000 so do not work. I have also tried learning the codes from the switcher's OEM remote and also from my TSU2000 but have had no luck. Lastly, I imported the ccf into my TSU3000 and the codes for the switcher still do not work.

Please help me, it is this switcher that is causing me to stay with the 2000 when I really want to go to the 3000.

Thanks, Bill
