Now you've updated firmware and editer have you tried creating a new simple config (or use the sample file in the editer) and download that to the device.

I'd say it sounds like the config file might have been created for the wrong device, in the editer for my RU950 you can choose either TSU3000, TSU3500, RU950 or RU960 when you create the file

I would imagine yours would be the same (TSU7000, TSU7500, RU980, RU990) you need to make sure you pick the correct model. RU's are european models and TSU the USA.
