Today my screen suddenly didn't react any more. I had
some short problems with the reaction the last days after
a few moments the screen was OK again.

Now, it doesn't respond to clicks anymore.
I tried the need method described in this thread, but
it wouldn't work.

But, if I press in the cable in the upper right edge the
screen seems to respond anyway.

What else could I do? Is my screen totally dead?
I already downgraded and reupgraded the firmware (3.9.12=>3.6.7=>3.9.12
(3.6.7 was the one that was installed when I bought it)
I bought the Pronto second hand only 3 weeks ago from
eBay... I already emailed the guy I bought it from. He
was very helpful with my battery pack problem, but I have
little hope he can help me...

That's annoying, I just want a working Pronto.......

Get an ipaq 1940 series touchscreen in e-bay, and change the touchscreen. If you have the skills to do that, it will fix the remote.
