Hi Everyone,

Long time lurker first time poster here! I have been looking at the 3000 for some months now wanting to join the party but nervous due to the know "issues" with the remote. I finally found a good deal for one on ebay (&125 remote and charger). I got it yesterday and it worked for about a half a day. Like many others my touch screen was non-responsive. When the remote was exposed to cold it would start to work again. I am on my way to the store to get a screwdriver and contact cleaner to try the repairs listed in this thread. I will let you know how that turns out. I was also wondering if any of you have any other suggestions as to what it might be. I have already tried the cleaning the screen, reloading software and firmware, downgrading firmware, changing to new alkeline batteris, etc. Any other input would be appreciated.
