They're actually very similar - if you can program an RC5000 then you can program an iPronto. Almost no learning curve involved.
(This typed just after I got off a call with a customer complaining that the RU950 should never have been launched because it is impossible for an average person to program since he - and he made clear that he was an IT professional and so was of above average intelligence - cannot make head nor tail of the ProntoEditNG software which is apparently so unstable, so unfriendly and so riddled with bugs that he is sure that he has an early development release of the software from Philips. :-D )
