Sure. What you describe is "normal operation" :-)
(see my thread about this problem ....)
When the iPronto turned off (to save power) and you press a button or touch the screen it needs time to "wake up". Wake up means, the iPronto needs to enable the WLAN connection to the WLAN access point again and that takes a few seconds. So, turn on the iPronto e.g. touch the screen, shake it, whatever ... and the count to 5 and you can use it without hangs or pauses.
There is another problem with "freezing" buttons during normal operation - a reboot is then required. But that's a different problem.
