I am a fairly new user to the prontos..I have recently had a RU980 (tsu7000) for 3 months and it failed on a firmware upgrade...this was the first time I looked at this site for help. I contacted philips by mail and did not get to far, managed to get them on phone gave them all the details on how it had completely failed, they said they would send me details of how to repair it in next few days.... 3 days later I recieved a parcel with a brand new pronto! and just had to send faulty one back at their cost. My point is that If I had not read any comments on this site I would be none the wiser, disapointed it failed but pleased with a quick replacement. I have now purchased an ipronto..so now i have both.prob ebay one?. overall the RU980 is easier to use as a tv remote - you just have to get used to holding it,but not as flashy as ipronto and does not have the extra functions which i think are cool, basic web etc both are equally good with x10 etc.
