think about it.....how would your remote control KNOW what channel NBC was without you telling it? You downloaded a button. Now you need to tell the remote what to do when you push the button. You need to set it up as a "macro" which is nothing more than a button that sends out a series of commands instead of one. Normally, you would have one "code" per button. ie...The '+' button would have a code that is sent to the TV telling it to go up one channel. However a macro button simply tells the remote to act as if you were pressing other buttons. Macro buttons don't store any codes themselves.

In this case, you want to set up the NBC button as a series of commands that tell the TV to put on NBC. Lets assume NBC is channel 10 on your TV and all of the other buttons/codes are already programmed. Open up the NBC button in neoedit and go to the list of commands. You want to click the button marked "link to" and follow the tree to the device which controls your channels (whether that is your TV or a cable/sat box). Select the page with the #'s on it and select '1'. Then add a delay of .1 seconds (to be safe). Then click "link to" again and follow the same steps selecting '0' this time. Now, depending on your system you may need to use an 'enter' button. If so, follow the same steps as above and link to the 'enter' button as the third step. If your system requires three digits to change channels simply follow the same instructions using 0-1-0 instead of 1-0-enter.
