The transport buttons look like they are still too low
on the body of the remote to be comfortable. This was
my main complaint with the 880. Using it as a Tivo penut
replacement left a lot to be desired. Try to rewind or
fast foward and the remote would launch right out of my
hand. I did a side by side comparison or the two remotes
and it looks like they have barely moved the transport
buttons at all. Can anyone confirm as to wether or not
the "One" is more ergonomicly layed out?

The transport buttons you are referring to must be the number pad?
They are still low but the back side is rubbery/grippy as well as shaped slightly like a trigger. I feel this may have been addressed enough to make it usable. I can wrap my pointing finger around the back of the remote just enough to loosen my grip and use my thumb to access all lower buttons. Still feel like tippy toeing and balancing the remote but it's acceptable especially since I hardly ever use those.

BTW the battery finally is indicating the last block in red and this would put the battery life to an estimated 10+days vs the typical 4 days I get out of the H1000!!! I can't remember the battery life on the 880 in the days but compared to H1000 it certainly feels like eternity :)
More buttons, pictures are better than words!! But still nothing for the 4 colors :P
