If you've never had a URC MX remote, you may have no idea
what I am talking about. URC set the standard for remote
ergonomics ...............
Really? I had an MX500, and it had the worse ergonomics of any remote. No colour buttons!
So functions like "Series Link", "View Recorded", "Favourites", "Copy", "Delete", "Keep/Un-Keep", "Lock/Un-Lock", "Interactive", etc., which are all actioned by the four colour buttons on SkyHD had to be on the LCD, where they are very difficult to identify and access.
For the UK market at least, any remote without colour buttons is really not practical. Colour buttons are a very efficient way of providing lots of different functions on just 4 buttons, all guided by on-screen messages on the Sky box.
Best ergonomics I've had is my current Harmony 675. "Upgrading" to the new One would be a backward step without colour buttons. Instead I've ordered a 785 to replace my broken 675.
