Apparently I don't. I talking about the uses for Americans.
And I stand by my statement that if people need colors
to find buttons (that IS the bottom line), then they have
issues. I said the "1" would be intuitive enough (and
the buttons spaced far apart) for people to find them
easily and know what they're used for without gawdy colors
that make it look like a kid's remote.
You aren't understanding that many receivers and STBs out there have colored buttons. On the DirecTV receivers for example you'll see this on the screen all the time:
Blue to bring up the mini-guide.
Red to Delete the current highlighted program or backwords 12 hrs in the guide
Green to keep a program or move forward 12 hrs in the guide
Yellow to bring up the TV Options menu.
During Sunday Ticket Interactive Red will bring up the menu, Yellow brings up the scoreboard and so forth.
You *can't do these functions* without the colored buttons which are just that, colored buttons. They aren't labeled anything else and aren't used for anything else.
So I guess if that's a need for a "kids" remote then I guess I need a kids remote.
Think before you post.
